These two pictures, and kids, make me smile. Too bad they don't like to ham it up for Aunt Tee Tee's camera!

It's funny because whenever I take out my camera, I think about all the great pictures I can post to my blog- obviously my desire is stonger than my motivation, but I would like to try to keep this updated more frequently. Here are two pictures from the past few months. Madeline is in one of her leotards for dance class, which she loves. She'll have a recital in a couple of months which they have been practicing for. She is star of the week at preschool! She gets to stand at the front of the line and she had to put together objects for the alphabet bucket. Her letter was "L" so we choose a lime, ladder, lego, lightbulb, lamb, letter L (fridge magnet) and a lemon. Also today I was the mystery reader for her class and she seems pretty proud that I was there. I will cherish that because I'm sure there will be a time when she is quite embarrassed that I am her mother!
Jake is walking everywhere now. He loves to climb on things, like the dishwasher when it is open, and the top of Maddie's dresser when he is on her bed. He's starting to talk more too. His favorite words are momma, dada, sissy, puppy, kitty, pop pop, and ball. He loves to play with his toy cars and balls and he's usually interested in anything Madeline happens to be playing with as well. He slept until 4 am in his crib last night, which is fabulous. My prediction is he'll start sleeping really well right around the time I will need to start waking up every few hours with the new baby!

WATERPARK!
We took our spring vacation to the Waterpark of America for one night! Sadly that is the length of our vacations until this summer. The kids had fun despite the frigid temperature of the water and air in the park. It was supposed to be 85 degrees, but there was a cool draft and it was cold. Jake LOVED the water. He was fearless and would fall down, then splash at the water and laugh! Madeline loved going down the little slide and the lazy river with Daddy. She did not care for the giant bucket that fills with water and then violently dumps it all over the kids' area. The kids, and Dad, also like the arcade and Maddie came home with some little plastic trinkets that have since been scattered and lost throughout the house.
