It's "Bigs" kickin' back! Jake's known around our house as Bigs, and if you look at his thighs, you can easily see how appropriate this nickname is. He can pretty much sit all by himself now, although he occasionally topples over. He loves to talk too. He even says "da da da" but I'm not counting that as the first word. If it were "ma ma ma" then maybe!

Maddie can swim!
We had a playdate at Jr. and Brooke's today and although Maddie had on a floaty swimsuit, she still needed to hold on to me in the water. Well, I think she got sick of that and so she found some water wings and suddenly she was swimming across the pool all alone! She was very excited. She also jumped into the water all by herself! She was watching Madison Monson jump in over and over again, and then she decided she could do it too!

Weekend Fun with the Gillitzers!
This weekend we went up to Nate and Gwen's cabin in Danbury WI. Maddie caught her first fish! She is quite the fisherperson too - she must have pulled in about 20 Sunfish (some of those could have been repeats though!) Megan and Maddie had fun on the beach, and they both loved the Pontoon rides. Jake also loved his first boat ride. It was a great weekend!
